EGGER provides sustainable raw materials. They are certified with FSC (Forest Stewardship Council), PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes), REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals and EPD (Environmental Product Declaration).
At Micalite, we utilise blockboard as the core material due to its stiffer property. We ensure the core material's quality by importing the blockboard directly from carefully-selected blockboard manufactures that produce and abide by our stringent standards. Playing our part in contributing to a sustainable environment, all our selected manufactures need to comply to the sustainable production forest management.
The commonly used adhesive to bond the laminate to the core might contain harmful chemicals and also delaminate over the years. Micalite Decorative Laminate Panel and Micalite AquaMax Decorative Panel only utilises imported PUR (Polyurethane) hot-melt adhesive to fuse the surface to the core. Using advance lamination machines, the precise amount of PUR adhesive is coated uniformly over the core before it is fused with the surface material.
